Dina the servant girl

Depending on where you are in the world
Should your life be easy going or unfair?
Because those who live the high life
For the less fortunate do they truly care?

While abroad I met a girl
Who worked at a servant at my home
She was only aged thirteen
Yet never did she fuss or moan

She was one of four children
With one boy & two other girls
Father a grocer, mother a servant
Yet they have no voice to tell their story to the world

The day before I left I gave her a hug
Promising her to tell her story
Though I may never see her again
She'll always be sister to me...
